ABOUT ME
I am a freelance photographer based in North Yorkshire, England who specialises in producing creative and contemporary images of the natural world - landscapes, flowers & plants, trees & foliage etc.
My photographs have been published internationally as posters and in books, magazines, newspapers, calendars and greetings cards. Prints of my work have been exhibited in venues throughout the UK and have also appeared on sets for both theatre and film productions.
My work has won awards in national and international competitions. I won prizes in the Royal Horticultural Society's Annual Photographic Competition in both 2002 and 2003 - this competition attracts over 3,000 entries from across the world. More recently I achieved success in the 2006 'Black & White Photographer of the Year' competition - winning the 'Places' category and getting a runner-up place in the 'Inkjet Printer of the Year' section.
I also enjoy writing and teaching about photography. For example, I regularly write articles for photographic magazines in the UK, give lectures to Photographic Societies and run a workshop programme for photographers of all abilities.
