'One on One'

Individual Support and Tuition

In addition to my workshop programmes I also offer help for individuals looking to improve their photography through more intensive and focused support, advice and tuition. This support is available to photographers at all levels of skill, knowledge and experience.

This is done in two ways: -

• 1:1 Practical Workshops (£250 per day)*

I work with the individual beforehand to identify areas for personal development and design a practical day in the field working on these. The day is focussed around me working closely with the participant to meet their needs. This can include for example developing basic techniques, getting the best out of their equipment, understanding macro photography, taking more creative approaches to their photography etc.

Subject matter can be chosen to best suit individual requirements within the broad area of ‘photographing the natural world’ – flowers & plants, trees & foliage, landscapes.

 

* This cost is for 'One on One' tuition at a location in Yorkshire. I am happy to offer 1:1 support anywhere in the UK but an additional charge will be made to cover expenses (travel & accommodation) & travel time.

• Portfolio Review Service (£75)

I will look at a set of images (max. 25) provided by the photographer as prints, slides or digital files and analyse & comment on them, looking at technique, composition, the use of light etc. This will be followed by a one hour interactive feedback session conducted over the telephone. I will talk to the photographer about their work and provide constructive comments & suggestions about how they can develop their photography.

Copies of any relevant articles that I have written will also be provided.
