I also provide one day flower & plant photography workshops at the RHS Garden at Harlow Carr, Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

• ‘Creative Flower & Plant Photography’ - RHS Garden Harlow Carr (28th June & 3rd September 2008; 27th June 2009)

A workshop designed for a larger group of 12 participants to encourage them to move beyond producing a botanical record to develop a creative approach to photographing flowers & plants. Using my images as examples, a range of creative techniques will be covered. We will also have access to the gardens to practice some of the suggested techniques.

• ‘Photographing Flowers & Plants with a digital camera’ - RHS Garden Harlow Carr (10th May & 27th August 2008; 6th June 2009)

A workshop for 12 participants providing an introduction to using digital cameras (SLR or compact) for flower & plant photography. The workshop provides the opportunity to learn about & experiment with the techniques of digital photography in a practical setting in the garden at Harlow Carr. A basic introduction to processing digital images on the computer, advice on producing high quality prints and guidance on establishing a digital workflow will also be included.

• Photographing the Colours & Textures of Autumn’ - RHS Garden Harlow Carr (17th October 2008)

This new one day workshop is designed for photographers of all levels of ability and will also appeal to people with an interest in using photographs as the basis for other visual and/or creative arts e.g. painting, embroidery, textile design. Participants will be encouraged to take a creative and artistic approach to interpreting form, pattern, colour and light.
