This programme of workshops is intended for a maximum of 6 people per workshop. Keeping the group size this small enables me to provide more intensive advice and tuition to individuals and to tailor the content of the day to meet their specific needs.

A short circular walk that includes Malham Cove and the limestone pavement, an impressive limestone gorge, Gordale Scar and the waterfall, Janets Foss.

The magnificent landscaped gardens of Newby Hall*, Nr Ripon, North Yorkshire provide a wealth of photographic material from shots of the impressive herbaceous borders to close up studies of individual flowers.

A wonderful days photography at Fountains
Abbey in North Yorkshire* photographing the ruined abbey (a World
Heritage site) and the landscaped water gardens of Studley Royal. This
workshop is aimed at the owners of digital compacts who want to learn
how to take more control of their cameras and to move beyond the simple
'snapshot'.
Autumn Colours of Wharfedale
(4th November 2010)
A varied days photography in and around the Bolton Abbey Estate* photographing the ruined priory in its dramatic riverside location, the autumn colours in Strid Wood and the famous Strid (where the River Wharfe thunders through a narrow rocky gorge).
* Please note that there is an additional admission
charge to Newby Hall, Fountains Abbey (National Trust), Thorp Perrow
& the Bolton Abbey Estate.
The cost of the above workshops is £105** (except Newby Hall - cost £95). Participants are required to make their own travel arrangements and provision for meals & refreshments.

Lensless
Landscapes
(Yorkshire Coast)
(19th to 21st May 2010)
A three day workshop designed for pinhole photographers (particularly owners of Zero Imaging cameras although any 'pinhole-ographer' will be welcome!). This workshop will draw upon my several years experience of lensless imaging to help a small group of participants (a maximum of 6 people) to explore the potential and the challenges of pinhole photography. We will be based in Whitby and from there explore the varied coastline to the north and south from Saltburn down to Scarborough.
The cost for this workshop is £280 for the three days tuition (NB Accommodation, food & transport not included).
